The Cap Farret began with a summer in the Côte d’Azur and Provence. Long drawn to oversized bags, METTIQUE’s founder was inspired by the effortless scale of the totes carried throughout Southern France. What stayed with him was not a particular material, but a feeling — generous proportions, relaxed elegance, and the ease with which a single bag accompanied an entire day. The Cap Farret translates that spirit into a distinctly METTIQUE silhouette, balancing volume, versatility, and craftsmanship in a design created to adapt effortlessly to different moments and ways of carrying.

The Cap Farret is an oversized tote designed around versatility and understated functionality. Measuring 45.5 cm (W) × 40 cm (H) × 27.5 cm (D), it features two sets of handwoven Nappa leather straps: short handles with a 15 cm dropthat may be folded discreetly inside the bag, and longer shoulder straps with a 30 cm drop that remain integrated into the exterior design. The bag can be carried by hand or comfortably over the shoulder.

The interior is lined in leather and fitted with two Quint-inspired open pockets on one side and a zippered pocket on the other. Two zippered closure flaps secure the opening, while a pair of internal leather straps allows the gussets to be drawn inward, transforming the silhouette from a generous open tote into a more sculpted shape. 100% handcrafted and handstitched, every Cap Farret is made entirely by hand in the METTIQUE atelier.
